Microbiota replacement for Clostridium difficile by capsule is as effective as via colonoscopy
Abstract
Since its discovery in the late 1970s, the incidence of both primary and recurrent Clostridium difficile infection (CDI) has been increasing. For instance, from 2001 to 2012, the annual incidence of primary CDI and multiply recurrent CDI increased by 42.7% and 188.8%, respectively (1).
