Non-pulmonary manifestations of respiratory syncytial virus infection

Abstract

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection is an important cause of childhood morbidity from acute lower respiratory tract infections worldwide (1). RSV bronchiolitis is the most common cause of hospitalisation and death due to lower respiratory tract infection in children less than 1 year of age.
