Basics of changes in hemodynamic monitoring in sepsis care

Abstract

Sepsis is a life-threatening organ dysfunction caused by a dysregulated host response to an infection, and septic shock is a subset of sepsis in which profound circulatory, cellular, and metabolic abnormalities occur, associated with a greater risk of mortality compared to sepsis alone (1).
