%X Identifying and defining the esophagogastric junctional adenocarcinoma (EGJA) as an independent disease apart from gastric cancer (GC) and esophagus cancer (EG) it has always been a difficult issue entailing doubts about the appropriate therapeutic approach. In fact, the EGJA is not entirely comparable with GC and EG in terms of epidemiology, risk factors, etiology and pathophysiology.
