It is endemic in tropical and subtropical areas (1,2). Skin contact with dirty soil and poor sanitary conditions are risk factors for infection. Rhabditiform larvae in warm and moist soil can develop into filariform larvae that can penetrate human skin and migrate through circulation to lungs (3). These larvae escape to alveolar space and migrate to pharynx. By being swallowed in pharyngeal secretion, larvae can settle in small intestine and mature into adults.
