Alvin Shao Qiang Ong

Mr. Ong obtained his Masters of Pharmacy from King’s College London in 2011, and now is a final year medical student in Duke-National University of Singapore Medical School.

His main research is focused on endobronchial ultrasound procedure. Notably, he published an original article on the impact of simulation training on performance and outcomes of endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) performed by trainees in a tertiary academic hospital. In addition, he did a poster presentation of his clinical research results on EBUS-TBNA: A predictive model for diagnostic yield using SAP score in the American Thoracic Conference 2018.
