Abraham B. Bohadana, MD

Dr. Bohadana is currently Senior Physician at the Pulmonary Institute, Shaare Zedek Medical Center, affiliated with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel and received his medical degree from the University of Rio de Janeiro School of Medicine, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He completed his Pulmonary Residency and Fellowship at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire (CHU) of Nancy, France, and at Meir General Hospital, Kfar Saba, Israel.

In 1992, Dr. Bohadana joined the CHU of Nancy-Brabois and the Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Medical (INSERM) of France. Since 2013, he works as a Senior Physician at the Pulmonary Institute of Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, where he serves also as coordinator of the Respiratory Research Unit.

Dr. Bohadana’s research focuses on COPD, Asthma and Smoking Cessation, with emphasis on the clinical manifestations of airway hyperresponsiveness, clinical value of lung auscultation, early diagnosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and smoking cessation treatments.

He has published over 100 scientific papers, has written about 10 book chapters, and co-edited 4 books about smoking cessation. He wrote a book about lung auscultation.
