Francesco Pollari, MD

Dr. Pollari received his medical degree from Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome. He completed his Cardiovascular surgery Residency training at the same University in 2013. After a fellowship in the German Heart Center of Berlin between 2012 and 2013, focusing on LVAD and TAVI, he joined the cardiac surgery team of Nuremberg (Germany) where he has been working up to date.
Since the foundation of Paracelsus Medical University in Nuremberg in 2014, Dr. Pollari is involved in education of medical students. He takes care of medical student’s dissertation/thesis and coordinates them in research projects.
In 2015 started a 3 years Ph.D.’s project at the University of Rome “Sapienza” in the field of “Cardiac-Thoracic-Vascular Pathophysiology and Imaging”. The confirmation lecture of his research will be held in early 2019.
Dr. Pollari’s research focused on the surgical treatment of aortic valve disease, in particular minimal invasive surgery, sutureless aortic valve replacement and TAVI. He has published several papers and presented at major international meetings the results of his research.
