Jae Hyun Kim, MD, PhD

Dr. Jae Hyun Kim is currently an associate professor of Keimyung Univerity, Dongsan Medical Center and a board member of the Korean Society for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. He is also an active member of the Southern Thoracic Surgical Association (STSA), the Euroupean Association for Cardiothoracic Surgery (EACTS) and The Association of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons of Asia (ATCSA).

He is a graduate of Keimyung University School of Medicine. He received training in the department of Thoracic & Cardiovascular Surgery at Keimyung University Dongsan Medical Center.

After completing 3- year of clinical fellowship in Sejong General Hospital in Bucheon, he joined the faculty at Sejong General Hospital in 2006. Sejong General Hospital was the only hospital specialized in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases and performing more than 800 heart operations per year.

In 2009, he had a training as an aortic fellow of Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Heart Institute, Houston, Texas under the mentorship of Dr. Joseph S. Coselli.

His recent interests are in aortic surgery(including endovascular treatment), minimally invasive cardiac surgery (including thoracoscopic & robotic operation).
