Dr. Caballero Vázquez carried out his clinical fellowship in Pulmonology at the Universitary Hospital Virgen de las Nieves (Granada, Spain) from 2008 to 2012, with special training in interventional techniques, above all endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), performing a formative period during his final year fellowship in San Diego, California (University of California San Diego Medical Center Hillcrest, Thornton Hospital, UCSD Moores Cancer Center, Clinical Trial Center Airway Research, Sleep Medicine Center and Scripps Clinic Sleep Center). From the year 2015 he works as Interventional Pulmonologist at the Universitary Hospital Virgen de las Nieves, one of the leading hospitals in the south of Spain.

The interventionist activity of Dr. Caballero Vázquez includes diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy, pleural techniques, valve insertion endobronchial for treatment of persistent air leak, endobronchial cryotherapy and, fundamentally, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) for diagnosis and staging of lung cancer, being the introducer of the technique in the hospital.
