Dr. Ng received his medical degree from Queen’s University in Kingston Ontario Canada. He then completed his General Surgery training at Brown Medical School in Providence, Rhode Island; followed by 1 year in Critical Care Medicine at the University of Toronto, and 2 years in Thoracic Surgery at the University of Ottawa. Dr. Ng received his specialist certificate in Thoracic Surgery from The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. 

Dr. Ng then returned to the Alpert Medical School of Brown University and remains currently as Section Chief of Thoracic Surgery and Associate Professor of Surgery, specializing in Thoracic Oncology and minimally invasive VATS and robotic approaches. Dr. Ng is a member of the Canadian Association of Thoracic Surgeons, the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the American Association for Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Ng has over 70 publications in peer reviewed journals. He currently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery.
