Dr. Ma is an associate professor of cardiovascular surgery in Beijing Anzhen Hospital of Capital Medical University, Beijing, China. He trained in general and thoracic surgery at Beijing University First Hospital and cardiovascular surgery at Cardiovascular Institute and Fu Wai Hospital, Peking Union Medical College and Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. His researches and publications have covered all subspecialties in cardiovascular surgery, including congenital, coronary, valvular and aortic surgery, congestive heart failure, and mechanical circulatory support. Dr. Ma is currently working under Professor John A. Elefteriades in the Aortic Institute at Yale-New Haven, Yale University School of Medicine. He has been focusing his research on the natural history, genetic diagnosis and surgical procedures of thoracic aortic diseases.
