Michael S. Blaiss, MD

Dr. Blaiss is Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and Executive Medical Director of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.He received his BS in Zoology at the University of Georgia where he was Phi Beta Kappa and his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences where he was AOA. After completing his residency at Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center, he completed a fellowship in allergy/immunology at Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana.

He was a Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis and head of the Pediatric Allergy and Clinical Immunology Training Program at UT prior to going into a private allergy practice in Memphis, Tennessee at Allergy and Asthma Care. At both Merck and Pfizer Consumer Health Care, he served in Medical Affairs roles.

He is a Past President of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and has served on the Board of Directors for the American Board of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and the World Allergy Organization. In addition, he has been President of the Tennessee and Louisiana Allergy Societies. Dr. Blaiss has published more than 100 scientific peer reviewed articles and presented at more than 500 meetings and seminars throughout the world. In addition, he has been a member of the editorial boards for the Annals of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, World Allergy Organization Journal,Journal of Asthma, and Allergy and Asthma Proceedings, Hypersensitivity, Journal of Thoracic Disease, and American Journal of Rhinology and Allergy.
