Lei Deng, MD

Dr. Lei Deng received his MD degree from West China School of Medicine, Sichuan University, China. During his MD training, he spent two years in basic research at Dr. Martin Brown's laboratory at Stanford University, focusing on the impact of tumor irradiation on the phenotypic and functional polarization of monocytes. In addition to basic lab training, he rotated at Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic, and Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the USA as well as Prince of Wales Hospital, Chinese University of Hong Kong as a visiting student for his oncology training.

Dr. Deng is now a resident physician at Jacobi Medical Center, a teaching hospital of Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He is one of the recipients of the 2016 editorial fellowship of Journal of Global Oncology. He is interested in thoracic oncology and is a member- in-training of American Society of Clinical Oncology and fellow member (non-voting) of International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer.
