Dr. Mallat is certified by the French Board of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine, with additional subspecialty certification in Critical Care Medicine. He is a member of several professional societies, including the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, The French Society of Intensive Care, and the European Society of Anaesthesiology. Dr. Mallat’s main fields of research investigation are acute circulatory failure and its management, venous-to-arterial CO2 gradient and tissue hypoperfusion in septic shock, hemodynamic monitoring, heart-lung interactions, acid-base disturbances, respiratory mechanics, and non-invasive ventilation. He published more than 50 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and is the author of several didactic reviews. He is also a member of the Editorial Board of many scientific journals.Dr. Mallat received his medical degree from the University of Lille II Faculty of Medicine in Lille, France. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine at the University Hospital of Lille, France, where he also completed his fellowship in Critical Care Medicine.
