Islam Y. Elgendy is a Cardiology/Interventional Cardiology fellow at the University of Florida College of Medicine. His major clinical and research interests include the impact of various interventions and pharmacotherapies on the outcomes of patients with coronary artery disease, acute coronary syndromes and acute ischemic stroke. Dr. Elgendy’s research focuses on clinical research related to meta-analysis, epidemiology as well as outcomes research in acute coronary syndromes, acute ischemic stroke, and heart disease in women. Dr. Elgendy has published over 50 manuscripts in peer review journals such as Journal of the American College of Cardiology, JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions, Circulation: Cardiovascular Interventions, Annals of Thoracic Surgery, Hypertension, American Journal of Medicine, Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, and others.
