Drosos Kotelis, MD

Dr. Kotelis studied medicine in Heidelberg, Zurich and Houston and received his medical degree from the Heidelberg University School of Medicine. He completed his Vascular Surgery Residency/Fellowship at the University of Heidelberg, Germany and in 2012 was board certified from the German and the European Board of Vascular Surgery. In 2013 Dr. Kotelis joined the faculty at the University of Heidelberg. In 2015 Dr. Kotelis was recruited to the Department of Vascular Surgery at the RWTH University Aachen as Consultant and faculty member. 

Dr. Kotelis’s research has been focusing on mechanisms and drivers of spinal cord and cerebral ischemia during open and endovascular thoracic and thoracoabdominal aortic repair. He has published over 50 scientific papers and received scolarships and travelling grants from the University of Heidelberg and the German Society of Vascular Surgery.
