Athanasios Katsargyris, MD

Dr. Katsargyris graduated from Athens University Medical School with Honors in 2006 and carried out his basic surgical training at the 2nd Department of Propedeutic Surgery at LAIKO Hospital, University of Athens (Greece). He received his PhD degree in 2012 from the University of Athens Medical School. He received his specialty training in Vascular Surgery in Germany, in the Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery of the Paracelsus Medical University in Nuremberg. 

He is currently working as a Vascular Surgeon at the same Department. His areas of expertise include carotid artery disease, endovascular treatment of complex thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms and peripheral bypass surgery.

He has received many awards and has more than 100 international publications in peer-reviewed medical journals. He has also contributed to 15 chapters in International Vascular Surgery Textbooks.  He is reviewer and member of the editorial board in 15 International peer-review Journals.
