Dr. Pierfilippo Crucitti is the Clinical Manager of the Division of Thoracic Surgery and Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Thoracic and Vascular Surgery, Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital in Rome, Italy. He is involved in laboratory based molecular, genomic and translational research in lung cancer and lung diseases.

He is the Author of more than 100 articles published in peer-reviewed impact factored scientific journals with a personal impact factor greater than 75. His interest focused on lung cancer screening programs and minimally invasive thoracic surgery. Now his main research is focused on new technologies for early lung cancer detection such as e-nose technology through witch his group won the ESTS young investigation award in the year 2015.
