He has finished cardiac surgery training in Chiba and National Cardiovascular Center in Osaka until 2004. He continued to work as a senior resident in National Cardiovascular Center until 2006, then moved to Chiba University Hospital (2006-2007) as a assistant professor. From 2007 to 2009 He has completed the clinical fellowship in University of Alberta hospital. During this period, he experienced more than 400 cardiac surgery cases as a first operator including cardiac transplant. After moving back to Japan, He has worked as a staff surgeon in Funabashi municipal medical center (2009-2015), and now He is an assistant professor of department of cardiovascular surgery in Chiba University Hospital.
He received a MD degree from Chiba University school of Medicine in 1998 and received his PhD degree from Chiba University graduate school of medicine in 2007. He is the first author of more than 20 papers in peer reviewed English-written Journals and a co-author of more than 10 papers in refereed journals with more than 300 citations (Google Scholar), mainly dealing with coronary artery bypass grafting, aortic surgery, valve repair, and computational fluid dynamic study.
