Professor Xiangbin Pan, Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), International Membership of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (IMSTS),Quality control expert of National Health and Family Planning Commission. He is currently the director of Hybrid Technical Department and Deputy director of Surgical Management Committee in Fuwai Hospital, National Cardiovascular Center of China. He is also serving as a “Hybrid” doctor, who perform both interventional and surgical therapy in the area of congenital and structure heart diseases (CASH).

Dr. Pan has a broad range of clinical and research specialization including echocardiography and cardiovascular imaging, device therapy, device innovation in CASH filed. He performed leading edge studies regarding the interventional therapy under the guidance of transthoracic echocardiography replacing the standard fluroscopy. He took the lead in ultrasound-guided percutaneous intervention therapy and has finished more than 2000 cases include ASD, VSD, PDA, MS, AS, PS and LAA. He has published the world's first book introducing ultrasound-guided percutaneous interventional techniques in 2016. He has been frequently invited as a faculty speaker in prestigious cardiology conferences around the world to promote this technology.

Dr. Pan has lead more than ten national major researches founded by National Natural Science Foundation of China in recent years and has published over 40 research papers. He has 14 national patents and 3 international patents, many of them have already been put into clinical use.
