Martin Pichler, MD

Dr. Pichler graduated and received his medical degree at the Medical University of Graz and his Master in Science of Molecular Microbiology at the Karl-Franzens-University of Graz, Austria. He completed his Oncology Residency at the Division of Oncology, Medical University of Graz, Austria. In 2016, Dr. Pichler became Associate Professor and Head of the Research Unit of Non-Coding RNA in Cancer, at the Medical University of Graz. In 2013, he worked 2 years at The UT MD Anderson Cancer Center, Tx, USA, where he became an Adjunct Ass. Professor at the Department of Experimental Therapeutics, MD Anderson Cancer Center, USA.
Dr. Pichler is Editor for the International Journal of Molecular Science, the Non-coding RNA and others. Dr. Pichler’s research focuses on mechanisms and drivers of carcinogenesis of human malignancies, development of prognostic factors and models, with a special focus on non-coding RNAs. His research has been funded by national parties. He received several grants and awards and published more than 200 papers in the age under 40 years.
