Born in Ferrara (Italy) on October 13th, 1957, Roberto Manfredini graduated, summa cum laude, in Medicine and Surgery at the Ferrara University in October 1982. He yielded Specialization Degrees in (a) Endocrinology, University of Modena, 1985; (b) Internal Medicine , University of Parma, 1990; and (c) Cardiology, University of Ferrara, 2004. Working and career steps included the position of Medical Assistant, Emergency Department, General Hospital of Ferrara (1988-1990); Assistant professor of Internal Medicine, General Hospital and University of Ferrara (1990-2005); Vice-Director of Integrated Medical Department, General Hospital of Ferrara (2002-2005);

Chief, Division of Internal Medicine, Delta Hospital, Lagosanto, Ferrara (2006-2010); Associate professor of Internal Medicine, University of Ferrara (2008); Chief, Clinica Medica Unit, General Hospital, Ferrara (2010-today). University of Ferrara: Dean of the Nursing Degree, University of Ferrara (2013-2016), full professor of Internal Medicine (2015-today) with many teachings at the Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy and Prevention, and he is now the Director of the Department of Medical Sciences (2017-today). Research interests include: (i) clinical chronobiology (time of onset of acute diseases; official scientific partner of University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and International Registry of Aortic Dissection – IRAD; (ii) hypertension; (iii) cardiovascular diseases; (iv) emergency medicine. The scientific production is witnessed by 370 papers in IF journals, >8000 citations, H-index 47 (https://scholar.google.it/citations?user=9QG5xFgAAAAJ&hl=en), books and book chapters, >150 invited lectures, several hundred communications at congresses at national and international congresses.
