JTD will exhibit at the AATS 93rd Annual Meeting in Minneapolis

The AATS 93rd Annual Meeting is to be conducted at the Minneapolis Convention Center, Minneapolis, MN, USA from May 4 through May 8, 2013.

As an international, Open Access, peer-review journal dedicated to thoracic disease, JTD will take this opportunity to exhibit our journal and meet our editorial board members, reviewers, authors and readers. Our booth “AME/PBPC Publishing Company” stands at No. 539 in the exhibition hall (Figure 1).

JTD will show in ASCO 49th Annual Meeting, Chicago

JTD will exhibit at ASCO 49th Annual Meeting at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois, from May 31 to June 4, 2013. JTD will take this opportunity to exhibit our journal and meet our editorial board members, reviewers, authors and readers. Our booth number is 23104, PBPC Publishing Company, in the Publishers Pavilion, Zone B.


Focused issue on video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS)

This state-of-the-art issue on the techniques and outcomes of Video-assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS) is dedicated to the first world meeting on uniportal VATS in Naples. Our guest editor for this issue is Professor Gaetano Rocco, Director of Department of Thoracic Surgery and Oncology, Chief of Division of Thoracic Surgery, National Cancer Institute, Pascale Foundation, Italy. This special issue, to be published in August 2013 issue of JTD, will serve as a great platform for academic communication between VATS experts worldwide by displaying featured articles contributed by key experts in this field. Please follow up on this special issue to learn the latest update for VATS as a conventional approach and appreciate the current status of uniportal VATS. We believe that this issue which reflects a collaborative effort from multiple international contributors will be illuminative for all experts interested in related field (Table 1).

Focused issue on breast cancer in young women

This special issue dedicated to improving management and treatment on breast cancer in young woman will provide up-to-date knowledge on imaging, genetic, surgical aspects of breast cancer in young women and address the challenges in managing breast cancer during pregnancy focusing on key opinions from renowned experts worldwide in related fields. Our guest editors for this special issue (Table 2) are Dr. Hatem A. Azim Jr, from Department of Medicine, Jules Bordet Institute, Brussels, Belgium and Dr. Fedro A. Peccatori, from Fertility and Procreation in Oncology Unit, European Institute of Oncology, Milan, Italy. This special issue will be brought out in the second quarter of 2013.
