The summary from Chairman Chen: make academic communication from better to best!

At the end of the meeting, Prof. Gang Chen made a brilliant conclusion of the work of the Thoracic Surgery Branch of GMDA in the past year (Figure 22), he also shared his feedback and evaluations towards this forum. Prof. Chen proposed that the work during the previous year mainly focused on primary hospital training, academic conference, and further education program, including the national-level further education project in Gaozhou People’s Hospital and Nanfang Hospital Cardiothoracic Forum, all of which have made great achievements. Better stick to it and carry on meanwhile to remedy shortcomings, for instance, be strict with internal construction and discipline within the committee. Uplifting doctors’ legal awareness is also a key task. Furthermore, publicity plays an essential role as it attracts more excellent doctors to join the committee and benefits more patients. Prof. Chen concluded this forum as “a complete success”, with more than 400 outstanding thoracic surgeons attended that created a prosperous thoracic surgery academic event. It’s a great opportunity for cultural and educational exchanges as well. The goal of mutual promotion and mutual improvement through this summit has been achieved. A reputable brand has been set.
