Abstract

Ebstein anomaly accounts for <1% of all congenital heart defects (CHDs), with a prevalence of ~1 per 200,000 live births. In 1866, Wilhelm Ebstein described “A very rare case of insufficiency of the tricuspid valve, caused by a severe congenital malformation”.
