Abstract

Lung cancer is the second most common cancer in both men and women and remains the leading cause of cancer death worldwide. Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) accounts for approximately 80% to 85% of new cases of lung cancer (1), with surgical resection serving as a potentially curative treatment for patients with early stage disease.
